Role & responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire Cloud integrations using Integration Gateway, App Events, and cloud native patterns.
Implement secure, scalable data exchange between Guidewire applications and external systems using REST, SOAP, messaging queues, and event-driven architectures.
Ensure integrations follow cloud best practices including stateless design, resiliency, and observability.
Middleware & API Integration- Build and optimise integrations through enterprise middleware platforms (e.g., Mule Soft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or similar).
- Develop API contracts, transformation logic, and routing rules to support policy, billing, and claims workflows.
- Troubleshoot integration failures end-to-end, including middleware logs, Guidewire logs, and cloud monitoring tools.
- Integrate Guidewire with Document Management Systems (e.g., Alfresco, OnBase, SharePoint, File Net).
- Implement document upload, retrieval, metadata tagging, and lifecycle automation using Guidewire Document Production and external APIs.
- Ensure secure storage, retention, and compliance with regulatory and client-specific requirements.
- Configure and manage AWS S3 bucket integrations for document storage, archival, and retrieval.
- Implement secure file transfer patterns using pre-signed URLs, encryption, and IAM roles.
- Build automated cleanup, lifecycle policies, and monitoring for cloud storage workflows.
- Configure and publish Guidewire App Events to trigger downstream processes in real time.
- Build event consumers and handlers in middleware or cloud services to support asynchronous workflows.
- Ensure event schemas, routing, and error handling follow enterprise standards.
- Develop and maintain Integration Gateway flows for inbound and outbound communication.
- Implement authentication, throttling, retries, and error-handling patterns within the gateway.
- Optimise gateway performance and ensure alignment with Guidewire Cloud upgrade requirements.
- Create unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end validation for all integration components.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments across cloud environments.
- Participate in performance testing, failover testing, and cloud readiness assessments.
- Implement secure API communication using OAuth, mTLS, JWT, and cloud IAM policies.
- Ensure compliance with data residency, privacy, and audit requirements.
- Maintain documentation, integration diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Work closely with Offshore developers, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and external vendors to deliver integration solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices to junior developers and help them with their deliverables.
