Fleet Maintenance Manager, Transportation & Logistics
Fleet Manager
Lead, guide, direct, monitor and manage performance of employees. Provide coaching, counseling and appropriate discipline and training. Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed and timely processing occurs.
Responsible for review and approval of company tire purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and cost control
Manage company equipment
Manage invoicing process, monitoring internal and external costs associated with company equipment
Manage fleet billing of appropriate customers, internal and external
Manage the equipment evaluation process and report accordingly
Manage the accident process, including follow up and coordination with the Safety Department
Conduct Fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met
Manages supervisors and employees while maintaining performance standards and compliance with all Fleet Services Policies
Interprets reports and spreadsheets concerning the company while developing processes to improve substandard areas
Controls costs and expenses, manages Fleet budgets and accounts for P&L data
Able to trouble-shoot mechanical and electrical systems while making decisions to correct problems in a time sensitive and safe manner on fleet vehicles
Keeps up to date on knowledge of DOT regulations, as well as CTE (Commercial Tire Equipment) and other relevant federal, state and local regulations
Maintains knowledge of Tire Scrap Analysis
Prepares safety documentation required by DOT Company and any other Federal, State or Local authorities

High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
A minimum of 10 years management experience in the fleet maintenance industry preferred
Must possess superior customer service and vendor relation skills
Must possess strong communication and problem solving skills
Must possess basic math, typing, computer skills to include proficiency in TMT software, AS400, MSWord & Excel
Must be familiar with warranty and claim processes
Must possess knowledge of work measurement
Must be an effective communicator with a proven track record displaying the ability to motivate and build a strong team
Must be familiar with tractor parts (international part number scheme), trailer parts, forklift and Moffett parts with the ability to interpret technical manuals and work orders
Must have experience on IHC trucks, Cummins engines, trailers, Hyster and Moffett forklifts
Must possess a mechanical ability and an interest in all types of machinery, tractors, forklifts, Moffetts and engines
Must be familiar with ATA parts system codes
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations required
Must possess a hands–on attitude and a strong work ethic
Must have flexibility in work schedule, available for all shifts, weekends and holidays
Must be results-oriented and deadline driven
Must have valid driver's license with a clean record
Must be willing to travel as needed
Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
Must be able to interact well with others
Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
Responds well to questions;
Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
Must be authorized to work in the United States
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move a minimum of 70 lbs.
