HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a CDL Switcher Driver, you will play a vital role in keeping our supply chain moving safely and efficiently. By transporting trailers, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the facility and surrounding properties, you will help ensure seamless warehouse operations, maintain inventory flow, and support on-time delivery while upholding the highest safety standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…
  • Safely operate tractor-trailer trucks, straight trucks, forklifts, floor jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Shuttle trailers, raw materials, and finished goods between facility locations, shipping docks, receiving docks, and designated yard locations.
  • Complete all DOT and company-required pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs and records.
  • Maintain daily trip reports, trailer inventories, and yard documentation.
  • Conduct trailer yard checks, lot checks, and inventory verification activities.
  • Inspect trailers to ensure products are properly secured prior to transport and affix trailer seals as required.
  • Identify and immediately correct any trailer loading or security discrepancies.
  • Place and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and related paperwork.
  • Assist with product transfers between warehouse storage locations and trailers when needed.
  • Operate and utilize yard management systems to track trailer locations and inventory movement.
  • Maintain exterior dock areas, including debris removal, snow and ice removal, and general housekeeping.
  • Inspect dock equipment and facilities including trailer restraints, dock shelters, dock bumpers, lighting, and related equipment.
  • Perform light maintenance and general housekeeping duties throughout warehouse and yard areas.
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, hygiene, and PPE requirements.
  • Report equipment concerns, unsafe conditions, and workplace injuries promptly.
  • Perform additional projects, assignments, and duties as directed by warehouse leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
  • Valid CDL Class A Driver's License.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations.
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or 1 year of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience.
  • Ability to accurately complete logs, inspections, reports, and transportation documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with warehouse and transportation teams.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn yard management systems.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Minimum of 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • CDL Tank Vehicle Endorsement (where applicable).
  • Previous warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing logistics experience.
