Truck Drivers will be accountable for the safe operation of their assigned truck to transport and deposit construction supplies to their allocated construction site/project. Drivers will need to conduct daily inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate. The successful candidate will be able to use their physical capacity to control, sustain, transport and dump project materials during the designated construction project.

Truck drivers are required to recognize the boundaries of their truck and be able to operate all essential levers/controls of their designated vehicle. As a successful Truck Driver, you should be able to pick up and deliver materials according to a schedule. Truck Drivers must have knowledge of safe operation and driving practices and obey all the rules of the road.

Safety training by the company will be required for all team members. Out-of-town work is probable and may require travel of up to three weeks away from home at a time. Dependable attendance and punctuality are critical.

Pay Range: $32.72 to $37.15

• Ensures adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
• Complete daily inspection of their assigned vehicle at the start of each workday, including fluid checks, and at the end of each workday.
• Always keep assigned vehicle clean and orderly.
• Load materials, such as crushed rock, sand, or gravel, correctly and transport all materials associated with the construction project in a timely manner.
• Verify the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
• Maneuver vehicle within a construction site to include backing up, with or without a ground guide, utilizing all required foot and hand controls as required to turn, tilt, raise and lower the dump bed and deposit dump bed contents where needed.
• Complete all inspection paperwork, daily load, mileage and fuel logs, and all other logs as required to maintain compliance with DOT standards.
• Operate a loader, forklift, or skid-steer as necessary to load and or unload a vehicle.
• Safely load and secure a dozer, skid-steer, excavator, farm tractor, and other equipment on a tag trailer.
• Report all safety/maintenance issues.

Team members will be assessed on their progression and capabilities through an annual evaluation or an out of cycle evaluation. For the annual evaluation, team members will complete a self-evaluation, while their supervisor will also complete an annual review. The process is imitated for the out of cycle evaluation. Once the self and supervisor evaluations are completed, the performance evaluation is reviewed by the workforce development planning group with respect to the areas of safety, quality, customer service, training record, hours of equipment operation and years in position/tenure.

Kwest General superintendents and the director of field operations will recommend for a team member’s classification compensation advancement or reclassification. Kwest Group president will review each recommendation and give the final approval for a classification compensation advancement or reclassification. An approved recommendation is then forwarded to the Director of HR for execution of advancement or reclassification. The team member’s foreman and general superintendent will discuss with the team member regarding their evaluation and any change in compensation or classification.

• High school diploma or GED.
