Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description
The Warehouse Associate role requires a dedicated individual to manage the flow of goods in and out of our facility. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for receiving inbound freight, processing outbound orders, and performing light assembly tasks. This position involves the use of barcode scanners and requires someone who enjoys packaging boxes and engaging in meticulous tasks.
Responsibilities- Receive inbound freight and process outbound orders with accuracy.
- Perform light assembly tasks as needed.
- Use barcode scanners effectively for inventory management.
- Pick orders from an order sheet and ensure accurate packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Load and unload materials safely, utilizing handheld tools.
- Pack boxes and check accuracy of work sheets at standing desk work stations.
- Request team assistance for lifting items over 50 lbs.
- Conduct accurate data entry using multiple computer systems and programs.
- Operate material handling machinery, including pallet jacks and pallet wrappers.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory for accurate data inventory.
- Ensure all work adheres to quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Ability to safely lift 50-60 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Comfort with being trained to use cherry pickers for material handling.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Cherry picking experience is ideal but not mandatory.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Inventory control and warehouse experience.

Work EnvironmentThe facility is brand new and not climate controlled, but large ceiling fans help circulate air flow.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
