Position: Logistics Clerk
Location: Charlotte, NC 28273
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.50 – $20.50 per hour, based on experience
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to support daily warehouse operations and customer service functions. This role serves as a key liaison between clients, transportation providers, and warehouse operations to ensure the accurate and timely movement of products and information.
The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse administrative experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Process customer orders, receipts, and shipping documentation.
- Enter and maintain order information within warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate transportation providers and schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
- Monitor open orders and ensure shipment deadlines are met.
- Process order modifications, cancellations, and returns.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
- Communicate with clients, carriers, drivers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and operational updates.
- Escalate and follow up on customer concerns to ensure timely resolution.
- Support driver check-in procedures, door assignments, and document processing.
- Prepare and maintain reports, records, and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations to address customer needs and improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
- Previous warehouse administrative, logistics, transportation, or customer service experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills and accurate data entry abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Work is performed in both office and warehouse environments.
- Warehouse areas are non-climate-controlled and may experience varying temperatures.
- Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Frequent walking between office and warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift up 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods as needed.
