2nd Shift Hours - 2:30pm-11:00pm (Monday-Friday). Potential for Saturday shifts on as-needed basis.
Starting Rate of Pay$17.50 + $1.00/hr shift differential with opportunity for increases after 6 months.
Job OverviewThe Warehouse Associate (Material Handler) distributes either production or non‑production items and materials to various locations throughout the warehouse. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in‑process parts, or finished goods.
Responsibilities- Move parts or finished product and deliver mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations using an RF scanner.
- Maintain the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures.
- Ensure safe operating process for all equipment.
- Ensure work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.
- Assist with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area.
- Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders.
- Participate in general housekeeping activity.
- Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory.
- Responsible for supporting the Distribution process by receiving and transporting components to the floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method and sequence standards.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Required to work independently and with limited supervision.
- Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co‑workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures and accept constructive criticism.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of inventory processes.
- Previous Material Handling experience (cherry/reach lift experience preferred).
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skill.
- Proven team player.
- Standing and/or walking for entire shift and ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bending and/or stooping repeatedly throughout shift.
- Lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
- Be able to work in a non climate‑controlled environment.
