Forklift Operator / Material Handler

Location: Greater Charlotte Area

Pay Rate: $18.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience, equipment skills, assignment, and client location

Shift: 1st Shift

Typical Start Times: Between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM

Job Type: Full-time warehouse and distribution opportunities

Kelly® is seeking experienced Forklift Operators and Material Handlers for opportunities throughout the Greater Charlotte Area.

These positions support daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and order-fulfillment operations. Candidates should have recent experience operating one or more types of powered industrial equipment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Available assignments and pay rates may vary based on the client location, required equipment experience, schedule, and job responsibilities.

• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
• Receive, inspect, and stage incoming products
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment
• Move and store materials throughout the warehouse
• Follow all safety, quality, and productivity procedures

Qualified candidates may have experience operating one or more of the following:

• Sit-down forklift
• Stand-up reach truck
• Cherry picker or order picker
• Previous forklift, material-handling, warehouse, or distribution experience
• Recent experience operating warehouse equipment is strongly preferred
• Ability to use an RF scanner or warehouse inventory system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability for first-shift schedules beginning between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
• Flexibility to work overtime when required

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, depending on the assignment
• Ability to work in warehouse environments that may not be climate-controlled

The hourly pay rate ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 before taxes and deductions . The final pay rate will depend on the assignment, client location, equipment requirements, and the candidate’s experience.
