Boshart Industries is currently looking to fill the position of Shipper. This position is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Warehouse Shipper is responsible for packaging and shipping orders, preparing shipments, generating documents, tracking shipments, and maintaining a clean workspace.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include, but not limited to, as follows
Shipping Preparation and Documentation- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of shipment documentation, including bill of ladings and daily shipping log to ensure that all necessary shipping information is included, such as time, surcharges, and any other applicable charges.
- Ensure all customer orders are verified and packed securely with appropriate packing slips.
- Handle product cancellations by updating labels and slips as needed.
- Utilize forklifts and pallet wrappers to handle and prepare shipments ensuring that pallets are wrapped securely, and shipments are palletized cost-effectively and properly cubed for cost saving purposes.
- Consolidate orders according to company standards and assist in determining the best shipping methods. Ensure accurate entry of freight charges and proper loading of freight.
- Identify hazardous materials and verify consignees entering the warehouse.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Working well independently or as part of a team.
- Operating confidently in a fast-paced environment, following all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Work in compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, statutes, and departmental policies/procedures/practices and operational guidelines.

CORE COMPENENCIES:Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of water well or plumbing products would be an asset
