We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily warehouse operations in Charlotte, NC. This position will be responsible for shipping and receiving products and materials, maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records, and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has experience working with UPS/Fed Ex and LTL shipments, is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and can safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare, package, label, and ship customer orders and materials
- Process UPS, Fed Ex, and LTL shipments
- Receive and verify incoming packages, freight, supplies, and materials
- Compare shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and other documentation
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues
- Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory information accurately into the computer system
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation
- Coordinate with carriers, drivers, vendors, and internal departments
- Move, organize, stock, and stage materials throughout the warehouse
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks safely
- Operate a forklift if certified
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and shipping/receiving area
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience required
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain accurate records and shipping documentation
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to communicate professionally with carriers, drivers, vendors, and coworkers
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Forklift certification is a plus; must be willing to become certified if needed
- Experience using a pallet jack and hand truck
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be fluent in English
- Must follow all workplace safety procedures
- Must pass E-Verify
- Must have a strong and reliable work history
