The Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate, organized, and properly labeled warehouse inventory. This position has primary responsibility for conducting daily cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, coordinating annual physical inventory activities, and reporting inventory accuracy results.
The Inventory Associate continuously monitors warehouse organization and inventory locations to ensure products are properly identified, labeled, stored, and readily accessible. This position also assists with receiving, shipping, and other warehouse activities as time permits.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :- Maintain warehouse inventory in an organized, accurate, and clearly labeled condition.
- Continuously review and improve inventory organization, storage locations, labeling, and identification.
- Perform daily cycle counts in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
- Research and analyze inventory discrepancies and identify potential causes.
- Recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and prevent recurring discrepancies.
- Enter and maintain accurate inventory transactions and adjustments in the ERP system.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and prepare regular reports on cycle count results, discrepancies, and overall inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate and assist with the company’s annual physical inventory, including preparation, counting, reconciliation, and follow-up activities.
- Work with Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, Service, and other departments to research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory is stored in the proper location and that warehouse locations are clearly identified and maintained.
- Assist with receiving activities, including unloading, verifying, labeling, and putting away incoming inventory.
- Assist with shipping activities, including picking, packing, staging, and loading shipments.
- Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety, quality, inventory control, and warehouse procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse, inventory control, receiving, shipping, or material‑handling experience preferred.
- Experience performing cycle counts or physical inventory required.
- Experience using an ERP or warehouse management system preferred.
- Forklift experience required; ability to obtain and maintain company forklift certification.
- Experience analyzing inventory discrepancies and identifying root causes.
- Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to identify, research, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ability to recognize inventory control problems and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily inventory responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to use computers and learn ERP and inventory management systems.
