Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and expenses. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the investment management industry.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately process and code accounts payable invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Handle expense invoices with precision, maintaining proper documentation and approvals.

- Utilize Concur to manage expense reporting and streamline invoice handling.

- Work with Net Suite to ensure seamless integration and tracking of financial transactions.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for auditing purposes.

- Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and address payment-related concerns.

- Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.

- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the efficiency of the department. Requirements - Proficiency in Net Suite for managing financial transactions and records.

- Experience with Concur for processing expenses and invoices.

- Strong background in accounts payable, including invoice coding and payment processing.

- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume workflows.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
