We are looking for a careful, dependable Construction Bookkeeper who understands that accurate numbers are what keep a custom home build honest.

This role is not just data entry. Every invoice you code and every draw you bill tells our clients the truth about where their money went. On a high-end home, a small coding error in one month becomes a hard client conversation a few months later.

You will own accounts receivable and job costing in our project management software, and you will be the person our project team and our clients rely on for clean, timely financial information.

• Manage accounts receivable: client invoicing, draw requests, billing, and collections
• Code vendor and subcontractor invoices to the correct cost codes in our project management software and Quick Books
• Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve discrepancies quickly and transparently
• Track outstanding payments and communicate with clients on payment status and billing questions
• Work with project managers to keep job costing accurate and billing matched to progress
• Maintain organized, current financial records for every project
• Provide weekly financial reports to ownership
• Assist with other accounting and office tasks as needed

If you have full-charge bookkeeping, payroll, or construction job-costing experience, let's talk about a broader role and the compensation that goes with it.

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, in accounts receivable, or a similar role
• Proficiency in Quick Books; experience with construction project management software is a plus
• Working knowledge of construction billing: draws, change orders, retainage, and lien waivers
• Strong Excel skills
• Attention to detail; you understand that small errors early become big problems later
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and speak up early when something will not be on time
• Clear, honest communication with clients, trades, and coworkers

This is not a high-volume, production bookkeeping shop.
