Overview
The Department of OBGYN is seeking an Administrative Generalist/Coordinator to join our team in support of our expanding clinical, research, education and community missions. Our growing department currently supports over 50 clinical faculty in clinical care across the State of Virginia, 20 OBGYN Residents, 2 Fellowships, and Medical Student learners.
Responsibilities- Provide professional-level administrative support across multiple divisions, including clinical scheduling and meeting coordination.
- Manage faculty appointments, faculty affairs correspondence, and promotion and tenure processes in collaboration with the School of Medicine. Attend faculty affairs and promotion and tenure meetings.
- Support the Department’s financial operations, including expense report processing and invoicing for outreach sites through Workday Finance.
- Assist with process improvement projects, including Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, data collection, project tracking, and action item management.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports to support strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts.
- Advise division and department leadership on administrative matters, operational needs, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and workflow across assigned functions.
- Serve as a departmental representative at meetings and participate in collaborative initiatives as needed.
- Additional responsibilities will be assigned based on the evolving needs of the Department.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings.
Anticipated Hiring Range$57,000 - $65,000, commensurate with education and experience.
Anticipated Start DateSummer 2026
Position Type & Work Location- This is an exempt-level, benefited position.
- This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability.
- This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and must be performed fully on-site. After 6 months, the position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule of 3 days on Grounds with 2 days remote.
