Position Overview
These jobs focus on managing the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis. The duties include overseeing the entire billing process, including collecting, reconciling patient accounts, managing claims submission, payment processing, and account resolution to ensure that the university health system captures and maximizes revenue while maintaining compliance with regulations.
ResponsibilitiesIndividual contributors provide direct support, typically in operational, technical, or administrative functions. They spend the majority of their time delivering support services or activities under supervision. Advancement outside this career stream is typically limited unless further education or significant training and experience is obtained.
Seasoned individual contributors work under limited supervision for routine situations. They provide assistance and training to lower‑level employees, handle non‑routine problems that require analysis, make minor adjustments to working methods, and independently develop solutions. They explain practices, procedures, and policies to reach agreement with others outside the job area.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s degree preferred. - Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience required. - Licensure:
None. - Physical Demands:
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, attention to detail, and the ability to hear, speak, read, and write legibly.
The pay range for this role is $16.64 to $33.28 per hour. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, prior work experience, and/or education.
