The Operations & Events Coordinator is supported by a robust team of student employees. They will have a secondary role supporting the physical spaces of the Batten School. This is an in-person position that is "designated," and a physical presence may be required even when regular University operations are suspended. It requires a customer-service orientation and a high level of personal tact and diplomacy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelors Degree required.
Experience:
3+ years of relevant professional experience required.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Develop systems and processes necessary for the definition, planning, execution, monitoring, and control of event management.
* Attend meetings for ongoing and prospective events. Arrange, manage, and maintain relevant relationships.
* Analyze short-term and long-term resource needs and adjust staffing and resources appropriately.
* Ensure completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines, track milestones and timelines, and institute necessary workflow, personnel, and financial resource allocations.
* Collaboratively support facilities planning and execution.
* Analyze and resolve issues that have the potential to jeopardize school operations.
* Proactively identify changes in scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess, renegotiate, and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts, and budgets.
* Ensure events are equipped with necessary contingency and emergency supplies.
* Engage in communication and change management in relation to event management.
* In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Compensation Range: $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with education and experience.
