We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a geology or other science‑based degree to enter the civil engineering industry and is also a good fit for anyone interested in construction who enjoys hands‑on work.
Job Responsibilities- Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and sprayed‑on fireproofing
- Reporting of test results and site observations
- Soil and concrete laboratory testing
- High school degree
- Valid driver’s license
- Possess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills
- Able to perform rudimentary mathematical computations
- Attentive to detail
- Interest in working outdoors on construction sites
- Candidates must be able to lift 50–75 pounds on an occasional basis and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, climb ladders and work outside
- Construction experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history and motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening
The compensation range for this role is between $16/hr to $22/hr compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
