Summary

A reputable general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground‑up multifamily and commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong focus on schedule control, budget management, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience delivering multifamily or commercial projects and can manage multiple moving parts while keeping teams aligned and projects profitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multifamily and commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Coordinate subcontractor procurement, scope review, and contract execution
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Maintain accurate project schedules and proactively address delays or risks
  • Conduct project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams
  • Work closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution, safety, and quality
  • Monitor job costs, billing, forecasting, and project profitability
  • Ensure timely project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
  • Experience on ground‑up multifamily and/or commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, contracts, and cost management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
  • Comfortable working with owners, design teams, and subcontractors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
