FWS possible: Cavalier Marching Band Videographer (student wage

Cavalier Marching Band student videographers are responsible for attending gameday rehearsals and performances (pregame show, halftime show, and 2 quarters of the football game in Section 104) and collaborating to create field show videos-utilizing audio and video recordings from multiple sources-to be published on the Band's Youtube Channel and Instagram account. Team responsibilities include:

• Gameday rehearsal video recording : recording short, up-close clips of members during gameday rehearsal at Carr's Hill Field. Team members will coordinate to ensure there is recording coverage with one team member at gameday practice.
• Field Show video recording : recording the field shows from the upper deck on both sides of the stadium, centered on the 50-yard line, as well as recording close-up shots on the field amongst band members;
• In-stands video recording: 2 quarters of Section 104 video recording. Team members will coordinate to ensure there is recording coverage of quarters 1-4;
• Gameday candids recording:
  Catch the behind-the-scene moments that help to tell the band's full story: the bus rides, meals, Swag Surfing in the band room, the walk to the stadium, the run through the tunnels before the pregame show;
• Recording other performances:
  Team members will coordinate to ensure there is recording coverage at events such as:
  Farmington Country Club performance;
  Paint the Town Orange;
  Seven Stars Music Festival; off-Grounds exhibition performance

Cavalier Marching Band videographers are overseen by the Director of Bands, and can look forward to working in a collaborative, creative, and dynamic environment. Videographers will also work with the CMB's Social Media Committee, CMB Visual Media Crew, and additional band directors.

• interest in learning more about people. Most work will occur filming outdoors at various locations across Grounds and Charlottesville.

Student videographers will have access to the CMB's video and audio equipment for CMB projects which includes Canon XA-55 camcorders, Sennheiser shotgun microphones, Sennheiser wireless lavaliers, Manfrotto tripods, and Yolo Liv Yolo Box Multi-camera encoder and streamer.

Hours:

10-19 hours per week

Compensation: $18.00/hour to $20.00/hour
