Leasing Specialist; Part Time - Charlottesville, VA

We are seeking Part Time Leasing Specialists for our Charlottesville, Virginia, main office. The work of The Caton Companies is work that matters to our communities and to society. You’ll be working in a building called the Mad House…it does get crazy mad sometimes, so you’ll need to buckle up for the ride!

The Leasing Specialist (Part Time) reports to the Marketing Operations Manager and will perform the duties described below in a competent, professional, and timely manner in accordance with Federal Fair Housing Laws.

• Answer phones promptly.
• Schedule tours and show apartments.
• Follow up with all prospects following approved procedure.
• Greet customers as they enter the office.
• Generate computer leases and complete all lease procedures.
• Achieve a 33% show to lease ratio.
• Achieve a 62% telephone performance.
• Achieve a 50% phone to tour conversion.
• Contribute marketing ideas and strategies to renting apartments, including production of ads and fliers.
• Check and respond to office email.
• Notify current residents of an upcoming tour.

This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week). Typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, with hours between 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday hours 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sundays 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Must be available to work every weekend. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

No travel is expected for this position. Occasional need to utilize personal transportation to make (reimbursed) trips to bank, post office and also to visit corporate offices.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in leasing/sales/customer service a plus.
• Driver’s License required.

College degree preferred but not required.
