Tenure Faculty in Anesthesiology

Position Overview:

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia School Of Medicine seeks multiple American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible candidates committed to a career in academic medicine.

• clinical care;
• medical supervision of residents and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs);
• teaching fellows, residents, and medical students;
• research (if interested).

• Deliver anesthesia to close to 60,000 patients each year in approximately 75 anesthetic locations, which include main operating rooms and ambulatory surgical centers.
• Recognized as a Center for Excellence by the American Pain Society and the Pain Medicine team boasts approximately 10,000 patient visits annually.
• Provide intensive care in three critical care units including the neuro, cardio-thoracic surgery and surgery units.
