The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia is searching for a new Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Surgeon. The successful candidate will have training and/or expertise in advanced ablative, microvascular surgery and multidisciplinary management of patients with head and neck cancer to complement our existing team. Patient care will be provided at the UVA Hospital, Culpeper Surgery Center and at the UVA Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center.
In addition to clinical services, responsibilities will include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; and clinical, translational and/or basic science research. This is a tenure-eligible track position. Rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications, experience and scholarly achievement.

QualificationsCandidates must have an MD and be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Completion or pending completion of fellowship training or extensive experience is required in the area of advanced ablative surgery and multidisciplinary management of patients with head and neck cancer. Experience in reconstructive microsurgery, and robotic surgery are preferred. Candidates with expertise in basic science or translational research are encouraged to apply.
