Overview
The University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education to teach and provide content expertise for programs in reading and literacy education. Opportunities are available on-grounds at the University of Virginia and online during the spring 2026 semester.
Responsibilities- Teach and provide content expertise for programs in reading and literacy education.
- Typically teach a single course per appointment and be filled on an on-going basis according to curriculum needs.
- Terminal degree in Reading or Literacy Education is required.
- Strong commitment to teaching excellence.
- Previous K-12 or higher education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred.
- This is an on-campus and online adjunct wage position for the spring 2026 semester; positions are filled on an on-going basis according to curriculum needs.
- This is an at-will faculty wage position which does not carry benefits.
