Position: Second Grade Class Teacher '26-27

Position Overview

The Charlottesville Waldorf School is seeking a second grade teacher for the 2026‑27 school year, with the intention of looping 1st‑3rd into the future. Experienced teachers are encouraged to apply. We provide mentoring and help facilitate professional development programs for our teachers.

Responsibilities and Curriculum

In second grade the students are taught by a specialty teacher for handwork, music, Spanish, movement, and nature study. The class teacher is the instructor for painting, language arts, math practice, and the Community Class program, which involves community service and teaches how we interact with and respect each other in community.
