Early Childhood Program After School Care Assistant
St. Anne’s-Belfield School is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Assistant for our Early Childhood After School Program for the school year, working with children ages 2–5.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, responsive, and flexible, with an understanding of the developmental needs of young children. This individual will work closely with teaching faculty to help implement a warm, engaging, and safe after‑school experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for college or community college students seeking active, hands‑on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment. Ideally, interested candidates will start on or around August 3, 2026.
Hours- 2:00–5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (ideally five days a week; candidates available for two or more consistent days may also be considered)
- Assist with daily routines such as arrival, dismissal, transitions, and snack time
- Support program activities aligned with our whole‑child approach
- Help maintain a safe and nurturing environment
- Build positive relationships with students, faculty, and families
- Exhibit a flexible and positive attitude
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Show a collaborative spirit and willingness to learn
- Enjoy working with our youngest learners
- Required: High School Diploma
- Preferred: Some experience working with children
