Science Teacher – ACE Academy Lambs Lane – 2026-27 School Year

Albemarle County Public Schools, Lambs Lane – Charlottesville, Virginia.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia, a vibrant community by the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Teach, lead, and inspire students in the Science Department at the ACE Academy, focusing on culturally responsive instruction and anti-racism educational practices.

• Plan and deliver engaging, authentic science lessons aligned with state standards.
• Create a learning environment that respects diversity and encourages critical thinking.
• Collaborate with instructional coaches, technology integrators, and equity specialists to support student success.
• Participate in professional development, including the New Teacher Academy and other ongoing learning opportunities.
• Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction.

• Valid Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement in Secondary Science (or eligibility).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
