Position: Computer-Based Testing Facility (CBTF) Manager - Part-Time (Fall 2026) (Staff Wage)

Job Summary

The Part‑Time CBTF Manager will support the transition of the Computer‑Based Testing Facility (CBTF) from a Spring 2026 pilot to a stable, clearly documented, and operationally consistent service for Fall 2026. The role emphasizes coordination, documentation, and risk mitigation rather than program expansion.

Key Deliverables
  • Finalize a stable set of CBTF policies and standard operating procedures informed by pilot and Fall operations.
  • Deliver and refine training and orientation materials for proctors, faculty, and students.
  • Support consistent scheduling and staffing workflows for Fall 2026 exams.
Policy & Procedure Development (Pilot‑to‑Fall Transition)
  • Review qualitative and quantitative data from the Spring 2026 CBTF pilot, including exam operations, proctor feedback, faculty input, and incident documentation.
  • Draft, revise, and finalize CBTF policies and SOPs informed by pilot evidence and aligned with A&S, OUE, and university assessment and accessibility standards.
  • Document clear, faculty‑facing and proctor‑facing guidance for exam administration, escalation pathways, incident response, and accommodations within a CBTF environment.
  • Maintain a concise, living set of procedures designed for use during Fall 2026 and future reference.
Training & Onboarding
  • Design and update training and orientation materials for CBTF proctors, faculty, and students.
  • Develop materials that are scalable and low‑burden, consistent with OUE and A&S expectations for instructional support.
  • Support rollout and ongoing refinement of training materials prior to and during the Fall 2026 semester.
Scheduling & Exam Logistics
  • Coordinate core exam scheduling for Fall 2026 CBTF courses, balancing faculty requests, seat availability, approved accommodations, and staffing capacity.
  • Maintain shared scheduling documentation, calendars, and workflows that ensure transparency and predictable operations.
  • Serve as an operational point of contact for exam‑day logistics during defined hours, escalating issues as appropriate.
Proctor Staffing & Shift Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain proctor shift schedules to support Fall 2026 CBTF exam periods.
  • Assist with onboarding and scheduling of undergraduate and graduate student proctors, including adjustments for peak testing periods.
  • Coordinate basic staffing administration (e.g., scheduling, time approval) using existing institutional systems such as Workday, in collaboration with supervising units.
Faculty & Stakeholder Support
  • Serve as a consistent and reliable point of contact for participating faculty regarding CBTF policies, procedures, and scheduling.
  • Partner with Learning Design & Technology and OUE colleagues to align CBTF practices with evidence‑based assessment design, accessibility requirements, and student support norms.
  • Escalate complex technical, facilities, policy, or accommodation‑related issues to appropriate institutional partners.
Position Compensation

Hourly: $23.77 – $47.53. This wage position is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1,500 hours of work in a year.

Ideal Background & Skills
  • Experience in higher education operations, academic support programs, assessment coordination, or testing services.
  • Familiarity with exam administration, proctoring models, accessibility considerations, or centralized testing environments.
  • Strong documentation and synthesis skills, particularly translating pilot activity into clear operational guidance.
  • Experience developing training or onboarding materials for faculty, staff, or students.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross‑unit coordination skills.
Minimum Requirements
