Adjunct Faculty Pool - Geology

Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college‑level courses, which may include distance‑learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Primarily face‑to‑face with the possibility of remote instruction.

• Teach developmental and/or college‑level courses in geology, including distance‑learning courses as needed.
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and grades.
• Provide academic advising to students as appropriate.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.

• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

• Master’s degree in Geology or a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in geology.
• Two years teaching experience in geology, field work experience, and experience with online teaching.
