Elementary Teacher (Reading Specialist) – Woodbrook Elementary School – 2026-27 School Year
Starting Date: August 3, 2026
Job DescriptionTeach, lead, and inspire students as a Reading Specialist in the Elementary School setting.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging reading curriculum for students in the 2026-27 school year.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate literacy across subjects.
- Provide instructional coaching and mentorship to peers.
- Analyze student data to identify growth opportunities and adjust instruction.
- Participate in curriculum planning and professional development activities.
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement as a Reading Specialist.
- Innovative, self‑reflective, and collaborative instructional practices.
- Passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps.
- Prepared to engage with a Culturally Responsive Teaching model.
