Music Teacher (Part‑time) – Baker‑Butler Elementary School – 2026‑27 School Year
Position:
Music Teacher, Part‑time (4.35 hrs/day), 2026‑27 School Year at Baker‑Butler Elementary School, Charlottesville, VA.
- Teach music curriculum to students in grades K‑5.
- Lead music lessons, ensembles, and performances.
- Inspire students to develop musical skills and appreciation.
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement to teach music at the Elementary School level.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
- Prepared to engage with culturally responsive teaching model and equity mission.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Innovative, self‑reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable in content and instructional practices.
- Passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps.
- Experience with professional development and mentorship.
Charlottesville, Virginia – located near Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park.
