Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology (MIC) at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks a tenure‑eligible Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Neuro‑Oncology / CNS Malignancies Research. Qualifications include any area within this field such as cancer immunology, signaling, genomics, epigenetics, RNA science, medicine, metabolism, neuroscience, computational biology, and therapeutics.
Research FocusCandidate should take an integrated, cross‑disciplinary approach and leverage faculty expertise in cancer biology, immunology, and microbiology.
Responsibilities- Maintain an independent, productive, innovative, and extramurally funded research program.
- Participate in the teaching mission of the Department.
- Mentor early‑career faculty and trainees.
- Access to the UVA NCI‑Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Division of Neuro‑Oncology.
- Work with graduate students supported by NIH T32 training grants and institutional grants.
