Classroom Assistant

About This Role

We're seeking a dedicated classroom assistant to join our team for the upcoming school year. As a key member of our toddler classroom, you'll work closely with lead teachers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners. We're looking for someone with a strong background in classroom experience and a passion for teaching. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional care and supervision for our children
• Collaborating with our Lead Montessori Guide to foster the development and independence of our young students
• Monitoring the classroom and playground to ensure a safe and engaging environment
• Maintaining a clean and organized classroom space
• Contribute to a respectful and joyful community

Requirements include:

• Ability to easily get up from/down on the floor to children’s level as well as lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to be reliable, consistent, and flexible
• Ability to be able to adapt to the school’s philosophy and work as a team
• Prior experience with young children
• Strong communication skills
• High school diploma (early childhood certification or equivalent preferred)

A background in Montessori is a plus, but we're also open to candidates who are eager to learn and adopt Montessori practices
