Adjunct Faculty Pool - Medical Laboratory Technology

Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis. as needed. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college-level courses, which may include distance-learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Primarily face-to-face with the possibility of remote instruction.

Piedmont Virginia Community College is seeking innovative and collaborative individuals to join the faculty as a part-time Adjunct Professor of Medical Laboratory Technology. Candidates must be qualified to teach in at least one of the following areas:
Clinical Microbiology, Hematology, and Clinical Chemistry. Classes may be offered face-to-face and/or online.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Microbiology if relevant
• Two years' work experience in the medical/clinical laboratory

Additional Considerations
- • Master's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Education
• Medical Laboratory Science National Certification (ASCPorAMT)
• Community College teaching experience.
