Exam assistants will support the Law School's Student Records Office (SRO) with exam administration to help facilitate a smooth, secure, and fair testing environment.

Exam assistants will:

  • Monitor exam rooms to help enforce testing rules (e.g., restrictions on electronic devices and other specified materials) in a calm, professional, and respectful manner.
  • Promptly and accurately document any irregularities with SRO personnel.
  • Provide excellent customer support to students and Law School personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Exam assistants may be asked to assist with other tasks such as:

  • Organizing and maintaining exam questions and student information in a secure environment.
  • Reviewing exam rooms before exams begin to ensure rooms are in good condition.
  • Distributing exams in accordance with Law School protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Law School administers exams in its building and does not conduct remote exams. Exam assistants may be assigned to large exam rooms, small groups, or individual testing spaces.

Exams are administered using Exam4 software. Exam assistants will not provide technical support or technical troubleshooting. All computing and Exam4-related issues will be handled by Law IT personnel, who will be available to support students as needed.

Exam assistants must have a strong attention to detail; be able to show good judgment in sensitive situations; and be reliable, punctual, and able to remain attentive for extended periods.

Outside of the mandatory training, the anticipated work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:45am to 6:00pm, April 27 – May 8. Applicants need to be able to work at least a five-hour shift on the days they work; applicants do not need to be available every day of the exam period.

Prefer students who can work a complete day (8:00am-6:00pm) or a minimum of either 8:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-6:00pm.
