St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a part‑time After School K‑4 Care Assistant for our Saints After School program for the remainder of the 2025‑2026 school year and into the 2026‑2027 school year. The work is generally 2:30 – 5:30 each weekday, with some flexibility on the start time. You may also have an opportunity to work full days during teacher workdays throughout the year.
EssentialDuties
- Supervises and engages with children’s play and projects
- Assists in group activities and transitions
- Prepares needed materials and supplies
- Observes playground and other activities to ensure safety at all times
- Prepares classroom and snack materials
- Maintains a neat and organized classroom and play area
- Assists in safe arrival and dismissal of students in the program
- Reports to director any problem which may occur with the children
- Circulates amongst group of students to build relationships with a variety of children
- Supports during employee childcare on teacher workdays throughout the year and at the start/end of the academic year.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Ensuring all classroom and playground areas are neat and organized
- Displaying a warm, positive attitude in interactions with children and fellow teachers
- Promoting and maintaining a safe, positive, and healthy social atmosphere for students
- Observing, recording, and reporting on the behavior of individual children as required
- Supervising multiple children at a time and managing minor behavioral incidents as needed
- Displaying careful attention to the children’s needs
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Education
:
High school degree required.
Experience
:
One year of previous professional childcare experience preferred.
Special Requirements
:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Pay
: $16 per hour.
