KEYS Academy Paraprofessional

Health Connect America, Inc. seeks a KEYS Academy Paraprofessional to support students with behavioral, emotional, and social needs in an alternative education setting. In this role, you'll assist licensed clinicians and teachers with implementing individualized behavior and academic plans, provide one on one and small group support, model positive coping and social skills, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic classroom environment.

You will document student progress, communicate with the multidisciplinary team and families, and contribute to crisis de escalation, while upholding trauma informed, client centered care and agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of individualized behavior and academic plans for students.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support in a therapeutic classroom setting.
• Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation using approved techniques.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and promote positive classroom behavior.
• Document student behaviors, interventions, and progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, and families as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Model appropriate social and coping skills for students with behavioral needs.
• Support data collection for treatment and education planning.
• Help maintain a structured, trauma-informed, and supportive learning environment.
• Follow agency policies, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements.
