Job Type: Full‑time, 10 months per year
Schedule: 7.25 hours per day; 188 days per year
Pay: $17.87 – $21.45 per hour, benefit‑eligible
Job OverviewAssist in the management and supervision of students during in‑school suspension (ISS) at Burley Middle School. Supporting classroom teachers and ensuring a safe, productive environment for ISS students.
Essential Functions- Supervise ISS students during instruction, break, and lunch periods.
- Collect, review, and provide encouragement on student assignments.
- Complete and distribute assignment sheets.
- Arrange and print ISS assignments tailored to each student.
- Record attendance and prepare attendance reports.
- Enforce ISS rules and policies.
- Enter student data into the school database.
- Perform clerical duties to support quarterly reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of student instruction and management practices.
- Understanding of school system rules and procedures for classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, library, and transportation.
- Knowledge of subject areas for the assigned class levels.
- Ability to guide, direct, and control students effectively.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, principals, and other staff.
- Ability to type basic records.
- Ability to operate audio‑visual equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent, with clerical training considered an equivalent qualification.
Salary$17.87 to $21.45 per hour; benefits available.
