Axial Energy is a growing engineering and project services firm supporting utility-scale solar, wind, data center and standalone battery energy storage (BESS) projects across the U.S. We work closely with developers, EPCs, and owners to move projects from early-stage planning through construction execution.
We are looking for a Project Engineer to support proposal development and construction execution as we expand further into the EPC contractor market.
ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with the Project Management Team to support active projects and proposals, including:
- Support project pursuits and execution activities across Axial’s portfolio of utility-scale energy and infrastructure projects, from early planning through construction readiness.
- Manage RFQs and assist with supplier and subcontractor bid comparisons
- Assist with procurement coordination
, vendor follow-ups, and documentation - Track and manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Support construction coordination and issue resolution across engineering, vendors, and field teams
- Help organize schedules, deliverables, and cost inputs for active projects
- Assist other areas of the business as needed in a fast-growing environment
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will be close to the details and expected to take ownership of moving work forward.
Requirements- 1–3 years of experience in solar, BESS, wind, high-voltage, or construction project environments
- Experience working with or for an EPC contractor, developer, GC, or engineering firm
- Exposure to construction workflows such as RFIs, RFQs, submittals, procurement, or field coordination
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple moving pieces
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow through without constant direction
- Solar or BESS project experience
- Procore or similar project management tools
- Basic familiarity with drawings, site plans, or engineering documents
- Mechanical, electrical, civil, or construction-related degree
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants real responsibility, exposure to EPC workflows, and a clear path toward Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager roles.
