Outside Plant Engineer

We are looking for multiple candidates for OSP Field/Design Engineers to support the central and southern regions of Virginia.

• Field Engineers:
  Meet potential business customers on-site to assess service needs, conduct field surveys, identify available equipment and duct space for fiber placement, and submit detailed reports (including photographs) of findings.
• Design Engineers:
  Design and prepare Engineering Work Orders for primarily Ethernet orders and other projects such as land developments, new buildings, single line requests, Rehab, DSL, FTTN, FTTH, FTTT, road relocations, augmentation projects, and special circuit requests. Use tools such as AutoCAD, company proprietary applications, and Microsoft Office. Acquire civil permits for local municipalities and maintain positive communication with internal and external customers.

• Training will be provided to qualifying candidates.
• Experience with field engineering and site surveys is a plus.
• Previous OSP field and/or design engineering experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and computer skills are a must.
• Ability to perform work with minimal supervision is essential.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Willingness to travel and support OSP engineering assignments in mid and south Virginia, with on-site surveys, is required.

All candidates must have a clean background check, clean driving record, and pass a drug test. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US and be physically located or relocating to Virginia.
