Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager – Water & Wastewater (Charlottesville, VA)

Timmons Group is seeking a qualified candidate to lead water and wastewater projects and manage client relationships.

• Manage assigned projects and develop client accounts.
• Handle marketing and client development, ensuring technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, and staffing coordination.
• Communicate with clients, negotiate scopes and fees, oversee billing, and assist in fee collections.
• Maintain superior client relationships, cross‑sell Timmons Group services beyond direct expertise, and maintain ongoing communication with the Group Leader.
• Manage multiple mid‑sized and small projects simultaneously.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience, with professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia or in any state where Timmons Group operates.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering related to water/wastewater or infrastructure markets.
• Design and manage project portions using relevant office software, modeling, and CADD technology; perform calculations with engineering formulas and computer tools.
• Prepare specification materials by researching and utilizing equipment catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection, and payment items.
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and internal design teams.
