Senior Scheduler
The Senior Scheduler leads scheduling development, review, and maintenance for Apex Clean Energy’s onshore wind, solar, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across the U.S. This role is responsible for developing and executing scheduling strategies that optimize cost, quality, schedule, and risk while ensuring accuracy to project managers.
The Senior Scheduler works closely with Engineering, Construction, Development, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align procurement activities with Apex’s growing and long‑term growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain priority project schedules from Development through execution.
- Train, assist, and provide guidance to project managers in scheduling process.
- Analyze and evaluate current schedules vs established baselines.
- Ensure accuracy in schedule information being shared across the company.
- Report schedule updates to management using various reports.
- Conduct periodic updates to schedules by working across departments to gather necessary information.
- Champion scheduling and the scheduling process across the company.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Experience in Renewable Energy projects preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive Scheduling and Project Controls experience.
- Minimum 3 years in Renewable Energy scheduling, with direct experience in wind, solar, and BESS equipment.
- Ability to analyze contractor schedules and provide critical analysis and feedback for the project team.
- Prepare and transition schedules as projects move across different stages of completion.
- Strategic, collaborative leader with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage executives and external partners.
- High ethical standards and alignment with Apex’s clean energy mission.
- Demonstrated experience in scheduling software’s P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Bonus for experience in Smartsheet.
Works primarily traditional office hours in an indoor office environment. Flexible work hours allowed when work duties and business operations permit.
