Senior / Lead Estimator, Heavy Civil / Highway — Charlottesville, VA. Direct Hire. Competitive Pay + Full Benefits.
Numbers are your language and winning is your goal, so lead the bids that land profitable highway work from $5M to $60M.
Responsibilities- Own bid documents and read civil plans cold
- Lead takeoffs and build complete project scopes
- Set bid strategy and defend the number with leadership
- Drive value engineering and pre-bid owner coordination
- Mentor and develop junior estimators
- 7 to 10+ years in civil construction estimating
- Strong DOT background, VDOT / NCDOT highly valued
- Proven on highway, earthwork, bridge, or utility projects
- Track record bidding independently, $5M to $60M
- Proficiency in Heavy Bid or comparable platform
- A real voice in project selection and strategy
- A proven team that wins the right work
- Top-tier pay in a market short on strong estimators
- Strong package tailored to your experience
