Shift: Fully onsite 8-5, M-F - no weekend work
Must-haves:
- 5-10 years of experience in an engineering/construction background OR 3 years with a bachelor''s degree
- 3-10 years of experience in land development (site planning, grading, stormwater management, roadway/traffic design)
- Must have VA driver's license
Plusses:
- EIT or PE in civil or structural engineering
- Bachelor''s degree in civil, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Review development plans, permits, and construction projects for compliance with zoning, engineering, stormwater, and City regulations.
- Manage Public Rights of Way and Neighborhood Drainage programs, including permitting, project review, and construction oversight.
- Supervise and mentor engineering staff, supporting hiring, performance management, and professional development.
- Provide technical guidance to developers, contractors, engineers, and the public while resolving compliance issues.
- Assist with engineering design, budgeting, code development, public presentations, and emergency response efforts as needed.
