The Charlottesville Police Department is seeking DCJS certified police officers who are currently out-of-state to protect and serve Charlottesville’s residents through fair enforcement of laws. The role includes routine patrol, preliminary investigations, traffic enforcement, and report preparation in designated districts.
Officers may patrol on foot, bicycle, Segway, motorcycle, or vehicle under supervision, with opportunities for training and advancement.
