Overview
These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health - Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.
These roles are responsible for providing emotional and spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. Chaplains and other spiritual support staff offer counseling, religious services, and emotional support, helping individuals navigate the challenges of illness, hospitalization, or end-of-life care.
Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).
Established and productive individual contributor. Works independently with general to limited supervision. Problems faced are difficult and may be complex. May influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures. May have project management responsibilities on small, less-complex projects.
Minimum RequirementsEducation
:
Master of Divinity or similar seminary degree required. Completed Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) residency at an ACPE-certified center (minimum of four units of CPE).
Experience
:
One year of relevant experience.
Licensure
:
- Ordination and endorsement by a religious community
- Board Certification or eligibility for Board Certification by one of the following chaplain cognate groups:
- The Association of Professional Chaplains
- The National Association of Catholic Chaplains
- Neshema:
Association of Jewish Chaplains
If not board certified but board eligible, certification must be completed within two years of hire date.
Physical DemandsJob requires frequently traveling (distance: 500 yards). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The starting base rate for this role is $54,558.70 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
