Medical Assistant
We’re seeking a Medical Assistant to work directly with our physicians and clinical team to provide hands‑on patient care throughout the day. In this role, you’ll assist with exams, procedures, and treatments while helping ensure a smooth and positive experience for every patient.
Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):- Room patients, take vitals, update histories, and prepare them for exams
- Assist providers with in‑office procedures, injections, wound care, and treatments
- Apply DME/strappings, take X‑rays, and support lab specimen processing
- Keep exam rooms stocked, clean, and instruments sterilized
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage provider calendars
- Support patient check‑in/out and provide excellent customer service
- Verify insurance/referrals, collect copays, and update patient records in the EMR
- Assist with orthotics tracking, billing follow‑up, and end‑of‑day documentation
Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an MA program or 2+ years of clinical experience
- CMA or RMA certification preferred (not required)
- Strong communication, multitasking, and patient service skills
- Comfortable using EMR systems and basic insurance processes
- Team‑oriented and flexible in a busy clinic environment
Technologically savvy; proficient in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
