Patient Care Technician – Intermediate Care Unit (Full Time Nights)

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is looking for a full‑time Patient Care Technician to work the night shift. As a PCT with Sentara, you will learn many new skills—from taking vitals and drawing blood to daily patient care. The primary duties include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing and ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, and meeting patient needs under the direct supervision of a nurse.

Shift: Third (Nights)

Location: Charlottesville, VA

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One of the following certifications:
  Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program (beyond prerequisites) having completed at least one semester of RN, LPN, RT, or PT
• Current work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant
• One year of prior health‑care experience preferred
• American Health Associate BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
