We’re looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds‑RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Charlottesville, VA. The right Peds‑RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements.

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function. Report malfunctions to director.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interacts with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Responds to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

• Must have 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• NBRC‑RRT, BLS, and ACLS are required. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
