Medical Records Specialist

Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Medical Records Specialist to join our team!

Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:

• Scan reports
• Medical records and billing encounter forms in EMR system
• Open and distribute mail accordingly throughout the office
• Manage medical record requests from patients
• Process requests from insurance companies or medical facilities and complete them in a timely manner
• Handle medical record preparation for standard audits from insurance companies

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• One year experience working in a medical practice or similar setting
• Medical terminology
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Familiar with HIPAA standards
• Organization
• Able to work independently and keep up with the workflow
