Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Medical Records Specialist to join our team!

Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:
- Scan reports
- Medical records and billing encounter forms in EMR system
- Open and distribute mail accordingly throughout the office
- Manage medical record requests from patients
- Process requests from insurance companies or medical facilities and complete them in a timely manner
- Handle medical record preparation for standard audits from insurance companies
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year experience working in a medical practice or similar setting
- Medical terminology
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Familiar with HIPAA standards
- Organization
- Able to work independently and keep up with the workflow
