The RoleAs an APP on the Hospital Medicine team, you will manage a dedicated panel of general medicine patients while balancing independent clinical decision-making with strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The pace is steady and engaging, requiring adaptability, accountability, and a commitment to shared team success.
In this role, you will:
- Independently round on an assigned list of patients
, managing ongoing inpatient care - Oversee the full continuum of care
, including: - Admissions
- Daily care management
- Consult coordination
- Discharges and transitions of care
- Participate in a Hospital Medicine consult service
, providing clinical support across cases - Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, care management, and other APP colleagues
- Contribute to a 40-hour work week equivalent structure
, ensuring consistency and sustainable scheduling

A structured onboarding process of approximately 12 weeks supports your transition into the role, with additional time and development tailored to your individual progression.
Advanced Practice Provider Scope of Practice:Clinical
- Provides expert evidence-based, top-of-scope care in their clinical practice
- Acts as part of a specialty team, collaborating with other clinicians as appropriate
- Provides health education to patients
- Maintains accurate, timely, and thorough documentation
- Ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
- Supports development of best practices and protocols in specialty
- Serves on committees and work groups to enhance patient care
- Provides education to learners in the clinical space
- Mentors new team members
- Contributes to clinical quality improvement work
- Participates in professional governance through the APP Council
- Attends team development meetings at local and departmental levels
- Adheres to ASPIRE values in all professional interactions
- Maintains appropriate licenses, certifications, and specialty training competencies
- Participates in local, state, and national professional organizations
Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
